Mark W. Smith joined Powell’s Board in 2025 and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee. Mr. Smith’s career has included the roles of Chief Financial Officer of Helmerich and Payne, leadership positions including Vice President of Corporate Services, Chief Accounting Officer, and Chief Financial Officer for Atwood Oceanics, and various positions with Arthur Anderson and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA and BBA from Baylor University, and he is a CPA. Mr. Smith brings Powell the following experiences: expertise leading large finance and accounting organizations and overseeing attestations for publicly traded companies with an extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
